Objectives:
- Establish a deliberate learning community on the campus
of the University of California-Davis that facilitates the
generation of collective knowledge and the construction of
collaborative frameworks for social action;
- Provide instruction in leadership models to faculty, staff
and students;
- Implement student internship programs that link academic
inquiry with community service;
- Contribute to a university-wide effort to coordinate curricular
offerings so as to establish a common vocabulary and goals
related to leadership development at UC Davis.
Some of this project's activities are:
- Develop and implement an intensive summer leadership institute
that combines credit classes with paid internships for students;
- Implement a communications plan, that fosters participation
in the leadership institute
