| Leading Institution: |
University of Minnesota |
Objectives:
- Develop inter-institutional partnerships that exemplify
engagement and collaborative leadership;
- Support institutional policy and culture changes that build
a deep, active and sustainable sense of engagement and collaboration;
- Enhance individual and institutional capacities for responsiveness,
partnership and power sharing with communities at all levels
of the institution;
- Use a public arts methodology as a means to generate learning
around engagement, collaborative leadership and institutional
change.
Some of this project's activities are:
- Conduct six regional learning sessions to provoke thinking;
inspire interest; support networking; build nascent capacity
and create a thirst for deeper learning for a diversity university
and community members;
- Sponsor semi-annual development sessions at the state level
that focus building capacity and issues that are germane to
the specific institution or state;
- Support efforts to apply and practice collaborative leadership
and engagement at the state level;
- Network at the state, regional and national level with an
emphasis on networking with other communities in the region
that have not been engaged in this project;
- Integrate the arts in meaningful ways that promotes learning
about engagement and collaborative leadership.
