Objectives:
- Support the evolution of three initiatives that focus on
1) establishing closer ties between the university and its
closest communities, 2) enhancing sustainability of rural
communities by linking state level policy makers with educators
and community leaders, and 3) the roles and responsibilities
of faculty and the rewards provided them.
- Increase the coordination of existing and emerging university
and external leadership initiatives.
- Share learnings about leadership with the university and
its external partners.
Some of this project's activities are:
- Develop instruments and activities to assess leadership
needs among initiatives and foster collaboration among initiatives;
- Host a series of ten public forums on topics of concern
to the university, other colleges and universities in the
state, and the general community;
- Develop a web site as an information center and online gathering
place.
