Objectives:
- Create a Leadership Consortium that connects ongoing leadership
initiatives, facilitates exchange across initiatives, and
catalyzes new activities;
- Build leadership skills among newly formed learning communities;
- Broaden number and diversity of participants among campus
and other institutional stakeholders;
- Encourage the development of partnerships within the university
and with external stakeholders;
- Extend individuals' definitions of community beyond their
respective disciplines, departments, and universities.
Some of this project's activities are:
- Convene representatives from across leadership initiatives
at Penn State and Cheyney Universities, and their external
stakeholders to identify common goals, share learning, and
inspire on-going commitment;
- Extend membership of Leaning Communities to external stakeholders
and implement action learning projects;
- Develop a web site that serves as a resource center for
leadership and institutional change;
- Promote mini-grant program for diverse groups to address
issues of campus and community concern;
- Provide training in facilitation and collaborative leadership
to funded projects;
