The Kellogg Commission (http://www.intervisage.com/Kellogg/)
will help define the direction public universities should go in the future and will
recommend an action agenda to speed up the process of change. William C. Richardson,
president and CEO of the W. K. Kellogg Foundation, awarded NASULGC a $1.2 million grant to
fund the new 25-member presidential commission (http://www.intervisage.com/Kellogg/COMMISSION/index.asp).
"By supporting the Kellogg Commission, the Foundation hopes to spark a movement that
will encourage much needed reforms in this sector of American higher education,"
Richardson told the commission at its first meeting.The Kellogg Commission have
identified five major issues and are preparing reports for each issue:
