Workshop #3 was originally scheduled to be held at Carefree Conference Resort.
However, due to construction delays, we are not able to hold Workshop #3 at
Carefree. Therefore, we have changed to Scottsdale Conference Resort.
Scottsdale Conference Resort is 20 minutes closer to the airport and is a quality
resort. Even though we are sorry to change the location, these circumstances are
beyond our control and we feel confident that you will enjoy Scottsdale Conference Resort.
Workshop 3 Focus:
- Collective leadership in higher education. In this workshop, participants will
especially focus on "how" leadership works and why changing to this operating
style is relevant in today's institutions.
- Participants will discover the role for collective leadership, and what they can do to
effect relevant learning at their home institutions.
- Participants will also experience a unique workshop format that models a collective
leadership format from start to finish.
Workshop 3
Objectives:
- To create a safe workshop environment where optimal learning and community building may
occur.
- To learn and apply an emergent leadership and learning mode.
- To reflect on other current thinking regarding leadership and change.
- To develop strategies and plans for sharing workshop learning at home.
- To develop the use of art and different learning modalities as key components in the
learning process.
- To generate information and feedback that will be used to inform the design for Workshop

Workshop 3 Expectations:
- We will start all sessions on time.
- Participants will have seen Foster and Bosserman's videos.
- Be present.
- Use active listening.
- Show respect, engage all participants.
