NOTE:
Due to the West Coast location, the workshop will begin at 4:00 PM on Monday, July 26, and end at 4:00 on Wednesday, July 28. Project Conveners' meetings will be from 2:00 - 4:00 on Monday, July 26, and from 4:00 - 6:00 on Wednesday, July 28.

 

Workshop 5 Objectives:

  1. To craete a safe workshop environment where optimal learning and community building may occur.
  2. To learn and apply an emergent leadership and learning mode.
  3. To reflect on current thinking regarding leadership and the engaged institution.
  4. To develop strategies and plans for sharing workshop learning at home.
  5. To develop the use of art and different learning modalities as key components in the learning process.
  6. To generate information and feedback that will be used to inform the proposal for Phase 2.


Workshop 5 Expectations:

  1. All participants arrive at the beginning and stay until the end of the Workshop. All sessions will start on time, utilizing self-organizing systems theory to promote maximum engagement.
  2. Participants arrive well prepared and are familiar with previous workshops and the Bosserman model for change.
  3. Participants are ready to be engaged, being well-grounded in their project's change and leadership initiative. Please bring whatever materials, artifacts, "stuff" that would help others gain an understanding of what you’re doing and learning, especially the project’s vision, definition of shared leadership, core values, and objectives.
  4. Conversation will be meaningful and respectful. Participants will use active listening skills and reflective opportunities effectively.
  5. Workshop #5 is a catalyst for the work to be completed at home.
